Two Christian students have found a modern way to share the Bible with the next generation.
Have you ever wanted to read the Bible more often? It is common to feel this, and a new edition of the Bible can help you get there.
This beautifully designed Bible is a feast for the eyes, making it easier than ever to “pick up and read.”
Alabaster Co. has released new editions of the Bible accompanied by stunning visual images and careful craftsmanship.
“We knew God’s story was beautiful and we wanted to create a beautiful reading experience,” says the Alabaster Co. website.
We believe beauty matters in our understanding of who God is… We strive to make products that help bring beauty to the world.
Or to put it another way, “What would the Bible look like if it were designed today?
Each of the books seems to radiate the peace of God in its soothing photos and thoughtful design.
The sleek, modern books fit perfectly into the design sensibilities of Millennials and Gen Z, so they would be a great gift for the young people in your life.
But they are really perfect for anyone who wants to read more of the Bible. Instead of squinting at tiny verses in a huge volume, you can enjoy a fresh and visually appealing spread of God’s Word in a slim volume.
The layout of the books is “inspired by white space, intentionally placed typography, and unique original photography”.
The story behind Alabaster also adds special significance. Two Christian students had the idea to create the books as a way to spread their faith to the next generation.
Alabaster is the brainchild of two young editors, Brian Chung and Bryan Ye-Chung. It all started when the two Brians met at USC. Along with sharing similar names and their involvement in campus ministry, they realized their generation needed a modern way to visually appreciate the ancient text of the Bible. The goal was to spark new conversations and encourage believers to appreciate the teachings in a visually pleasing art form.
The two individual books of the Bible have been carefully transformed into beautiful visual content using the New Living Translation. For those who prefer a more traditional translation, Alabaster also offers special editions of the Bible in the King James Version, the English Standard Version and the New International Version.
Alabaster Co. also puts sustainability first, in keeping with the biblical call to be stewards of God’s creation. The books are printed at Hemlock Printers, an environmentally friendly printing company. Each book is 100% carbon neutral, and its packaging is made from 35% recycled materials and is 100% recyclable.
“Welcome to a new way of experiencing the word of God in our daily lives,” says Alabaster. Hopefully these lovely volumes will encourage us all to take a quiet moment for reflection, reading and prayer.
