I unlocked a wristwatch in Far Cry 6 then wore it in real life, and you can too

Hamilton has teamed up with Far Cry 6 to create the Khaki Field Titanium Automatic Far Cry 6 Limited Edition, a wristwatch designed for in-game and real-life action. I have worn the watch in the game and in real life, and let me tell you, this is a really cool watch for game fans.

For those who have never heard of Far Cry, this is a First Person Shooter video game developed and published by Ubisoft. Far Cry 6 is set in Yara, a fictional country ruled by cruel dictator Antón Castillo and hosted by actor Giancarlo Esposito. As Dani Rojas, you must fight to free the nation from its authority.

The watch is unlocked quite early in the story and is received as a gift at the end of a guerrilla mission.

Once you unlock access to the in-game clock, players will benefit from a unique “keep ticking” feature. Defensive wrist gear improves general defense during sprints, allowing you to get in and out of danger quickly and efficiently.

Unfortunately, I didn’t seem to get any bonus when wearing the IRL watch.

The watch is given to Dani (the character you play) by Juan Cortez, an experienced master spy and revolutionary. Cortez himself received the watch from the island’s former ruler, Santos Espinosa, in 1983 after saving his life.

In a nod to the year of this assassination attempt, a limited series of 1983 special edition watch pieces will be available for IRL purchase.

Speaking of IRL, Hamilton’s real Khaki Field Titanium Automatic is tough, tough and reliable.

Surrounded by a 42mm brushed titanium case, the limited edition’s black vinyl dial features a matte center and a split “6” marker, a reference to the typography of the game’s logo. A red second hand is a twinkle. a look at the game’s revolutionary colors, chosen as a tribute to Yara’s guerrilla forces.

The Khaki Field Titanium is paired with a brown leather NATO strap, and each watch also comes with an additional brown nubuck leather strap and a change tool to represent the ‘resolver’ spirit that is essential for gamers.

All watches come in eco-friendly packaging and also include a leather pouch.

The Khaki Field Titanium is more than a fancy accessory without substance, it is powered by Hamilton’s H-10 automatic movement with an 80-hour power reserve and a skeletonized rotor that can be seen through the caseback. open the housing.

Speaking of the partnership, Hamilton CEO Vivian Stauffer said, “We know from experience that designing an accessory watch for the display doesn’t always immediately translate into a real-world product.

“It made the idea of someone wearing this limited edition piece while using it as wrist gear in the game an extremely exciting prospect and we can’t wait to see it in action.”

If you want to wear the watch virtually in-game, you can play Far Cry 6 now on Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Stadia, Amazon Luna and for Windows PC.

If you want to wear the watch in real life, you can purchase the Hamilton Khaki Field Titanium Automatic Far Cry 6 Limited Edition from the Hamilton website for £ 1,000.
