How to make a presentation for school

1. Write before you start designing a presentation.

Presentation software and apps help you present your message to the audience. However, you will not deliver a good message if you do not know this. Therefore, draft its content before you start working on your presentation design. At this point, observe the following points:

  • Write down your thoughts.
  • Write the main titles of excerpts included in the presentation.
  • Make sure these snippets are coherent and in a logical order.
  • Adjust the title placement until you get a satisfactory result.
  • Make sure it has an introduction, main content, and conclusion.
  • Write the content of your presentation by referring to the excerpts.
  • Finally, go to your favorite program and prepare your presentation.

2. Choose an attractive presentation title.

The first slide is the most important of all. This slide shows how interested or uninterested your audience is in the topic. So, make sure the first headline is exciting and catchy.
Start by asking a question about the main topic of the presentation. Next, involve the audience in the show by asking their opinion on a particular aspect of the topic.

3. Stick to simple designs

4. Don’t overuse moves and effects.

8. Use appropriate graphics.

  • Pie Charts: Used to display percentages. Make sure it does not exceed six sections in each circle. Use contrasting colors to show critical sections or separate them from the circle to distinguish them.
  • Bar charts: Used to show changes in quantity over a period of time. Use a maximum of 8.
  • Horizontal Bar Charts: Used to compare specific quantities to each other, such as comparing a company’s sales across 4 regions. Use a maximum of 8.
  • Line charts: These show trends and developments in a specific area. Be sure to use it only in this context.

9. Use colors well.

The colors are a huge attraction. Make sure you know some basics in this regard. Colors are divided into two types, cool and warm:

  • Cool colors (blue or green) are used in the background because they seem to fade in the distance.
  • Warm colors (red or orange) are used for essential elements, like the title and text, because they appear closer and more precise.
    If you’re presenting in a dark room, use a darker background and light-colored text.
  • If you are presenting in a bright room, use a light background and dark colored text.

10. End the presentation with a call to action (CTA)
